History of Wuhou Shrine

Wuhou Shrine was built in 223 AD during the Three Kingdoms period to honor Zhuge Liang (诸葛亮), the Prime Minister of Shu Han, known for his wisdom, loyalty, and military strategies. It also commemorates Liu Bei (刘备), the first emperor of Shu Han, and other important Shu generals.
The temple was later expanded during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, becoming the largest shrine dedicated to the heroes of the Three Kingdoms era.
Now is it transformed into museum, which is comfortable to visit and dive deep to history in China.
