History of Baomo Garden
Built in the Late Qing Dynasty (19th Century)
The garden was originally constructed during the late Qing Dynasty as part of a temple dedicated to Bao Zheng, a famous judge from the Song Dynasty known for his integrity.
It was a private garden for scholars and officials to enjoy art, poetry, and calligraphy.

Destroyed & Rebuilt (1950s – 1995)
The original Baomo Garden was destroyed during the 1950s, and it lay in ruins for decades.
In 1995, it was rebuilt and expanded, restoring its traditional Lingnan-style beauty. The garden now covers over 100,000 square meters, featuring cultural relics, bonsai gardens, and artistic displays.
