How to get to Tianmen Mountain

Tianmen Mountain is located in Zhangjiajie city which is 40 km far from Avatar Mountains.
Name of the place where Cable car starts: 天门山索道
This cable car located in the city! But you also can take a bus or get to Tianmen Mountain by car.
- Cable car station: in the city center and it is very easy to find. It is located near Zhangjiajie Railway Station.
- Easy access by taxi or public transport
No long travel needed (unlike National Forest Park) – need around half day for a basic visit.

There are different route options (A, B, C), combining:

To reach Tianmen itself you will have to climb a staircase anyway! There is escalator near the steps, but there is no view from it.
